I love machine embroidery! Unfortunately, I can't tell whether I'm going to be happy with a design or not, until I buy it and stitch it out. I think that it would be handy to have a blog with ratings of various designs and digitizers so that you might be able to make a better choice when you're going to buy a design.
If you are a machine embroiderer, I would appreciate it if you would add your reviews of designs (use the maker and design number) so eventually we will have a good resource for reviewing patterns. If you are a digitizer and would like me to review a design or two, please let me know!

Okay, I'll go first -
I love Embroidery Library's designs. The pros are they stitch out great even if I'm a little rushed or careless when I hoop. The cons are they tend to be a bit bulletproof, and have more color changes than needed. Sometimes, they could reorder their stitching and save a few color changes. Occasionally I take the time to do it myself. They do have good customer service and I have always gotten a quick answer to any question that I ask.
